As one of the three campuses that make-up the Colorado School of Public Health, Colorado State University offers a generalist Masters of Public Health degree that includes a focus in health communication. Students complete general science and public health coursework through CSU and may also include coursework offered on the other campuses (UC-Denver and University of Northern Colorado). Health communication courses are currently offered on the CSU campus through the departments of Journalism and Technical Communication, and Communication Studies. The degree is non-thesis, and students are required to complete a supervised practicum experience in the area of health communication. The curriculum supports study and development of practice for students interested in communication within the clinical environment as well as in community-level public health.
